  Love Will Win : The Seal Beach Pride Festival (June 10, 2023)   By Kathy Nadeau The Seal Beach Pride festival was organized to create a welcoming and inclusive celebration of the right of LGBTQ+ people to be themselves. Everyone had a good time. The music was excellent! Many colorfully adorned, sat, stood, and danced to the music on the grass next to the pier. It was peaceful and fun-loving, even as some far right bible thumpers called us sinners going to hell.  Kelley Robinson on  Democracy Now  (6/7/23) stated, “The Human Rights Campaign has declared a state of emergency for LGBTQ+ people in the United States, over a wave of discriminatory laws passed in states across the country.” Recently, Temecula Valley Unified District removed mention of Harvey Milk from its curriculum.
